چکیده

Applications of cryogenics in space The development, in-orbit commissioning, and operation of cryogenic instrumentation in space raises the level of mission complexity, risk and associated cost. Any application must then be justified on the basis of its specific return. In the case of scientific missions, the cryogenic detectors and related payloads are the only candidates for the accomplishment of the mission objectives, offering unmatched performance and unique advantages. In the case of other applications, such as telecommunications, the advantages offered by superconducting devices need to be evaluated against their development and operating costs, and compared with alternative technologies.

Deep space missions and the issue of overcoming the problem of space radiation

As a member of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS), Iran has a long-term space exploration program. Space radiation is one of the challenges facing humans when they go outside Earth's protective atmosphere and magnetic field. Space is an environment that the cardinal principles of radiation protection i.e. time, distance and shielding cannot be effectively ...

Physical Investigation of Space, Dosimetry of Space Ionizing Ray Effect (Van Allen belts, Galactic Cosmic Rays and Solar particles) and Plotting Dose Map for Satellite Circular Missions

One of the main factors for satellite design is simulating of total ionizing dose due to space ionizing rays in devices used in space. By measurement of induced dose based on available data in different altitudes, expenses of designing, satellite weight and amount of needed fuel will be reduced. Optimum design of satellite for protecting satellite against ionizing radiation has considerable eff...

Planning and Control of Two-Link Rigid Flexible Manipulators in Dynamic Object Manipulation Missions

This research focuses on proposing an optimal trajectory planning and control method of two link rigid-flexible manipulators (TLRFM) for Dynamic Object Manipulation (DOM) missions. For the first time, achievement of DOM task using a rotating one flexible link robot was taken into account in [20]. The authors do not aim to contribute on either trajectory tracking or vibration control of the End-...

Future role of vitamin C in radiation mitigation and its possible applications in manned deep space missions: survival study and the measurement of cell viability

Background: Astronauts will be exposed to both chronic space radiation and acute high doses of energetic radiation of solar particle events in long-term deep space missions. The application of radioprotectors in space missions has basic limitations such as their very short time window as well as their acute toxicity and considerable side effects. The aim of the present study was to investigate ...
